How we do it
Our philosophy -
We believe that for tutoring to be most effective the pupil should be able to relate to the tutor. Being closer in age or a mutual interest are some of the things we encourage. Our tuition goes beyond cramming knowledge for exams. We understand the importance of a child's confidence, both for the exam and for life. Our tutors specialise in instilling confidence and curiosity into their pupils.
Having ensured that all our tutors are highly qualified in their fields and are skilled and inspirational teachers, we then follow these steps to choose the perfect tutor-
-
We discuss the situation over the phone to gain a better understanding of the pupils weaknesses and strengths.
-
Where appropriate we then meet the parents and pupils to assess what kind or tutor would be best suited to the family.
-
We find common ground between the pupil and the tutor (this might be as simple as them both enjoying football!)
-
We treat the first lesson as a trial and immediately provide a different tutor if the lesson is not a success.
-
After the first lesson we speak to the parents and tutors to assess how the lesson went.
-
Assuming the first lesson was a success we then monitor the progress of the pupil through feedback from the tutors, pupils and parents to be sure that the pupil is on track for the desired grade.
